"If this were a city, and people were having symptoms from something coming out of a smokestack, they'd evacuate. They don't even investigate in the rural areas." Kathy Melmoth, full time farmer and registered nurse, in "Living a Nightmare: Animal Factories in Michigan"

The Michigan Chapter of Sierra Club has released a new video, "LIVING A NIGHTMARE: Animal Factories in Michigan". The 22 minute video tells the stories of rural residents and family farmers in Hillsdale and Lenawee Counties who have endured life with a dozen dairy and hog livestock operations over the past six years. The video documents the water pollution, un-breatheable air, the intimidation and economic damages inflicted on Michigan citizens by the 200 concentrated animal feeding operations in our state.

The video is available in DVD or VHS, and is available for $10 to cover handling and shipping.
