A member owned co-op since 1971. One of the oldest food cooperatives,
the Hillsdale co-op is only $10 for membership and attendance at one of
the two general membership meetings a year. A 5% discount on all retail
purchases comes with membership. Working at the store is not necessary
although members earn a 15% discount for 3 hours work. The public is welcome
even if you are not a member.

Easy to become a member, a one-time investment of $60, fully refundable
for any reason. Besides discounts you also receive a share of the co-op’s
profits in the form a member rebate check based on amount spent over the
year. Volunteering is not required to become a member.
A long drive from the Hudson Area but if you are heading toward Ann Arbor
it is a great place to shop for organic food and other products, many
from local growers. Plus, you can visit the Cafe Verde, (attached to the
store) which has wonderful prepared food and soups and organic coffee
